Excalidraw vs Miro

Excalidraw is a small, bootstrapped company. $7/month for the most expensive package.

Why settle for less? I dunno, I don't use Miro.

It didn't take long to convince me. Bought the subscription to @excalidraw + .

I currently use excalidraw, every single day, to brainstorm/whiteboard with the team. No-brainer to get this.

Miro was my other choice - but found it too feature-rich for my limited use case.

Excalidraw is way more better and performant

We actually switched our entire engineering team to Excalidraw from draw.io and Miro and we love it. There is something freeing about it. 

I noticed in draw.io people were spending lots of time aligning elements and trying to beautify the skematic which I considered unnecessary. I wanted something that resembles the whiteboard back when we were in the office. 

The sketchy feel of excalidraw does something to people. The first version is usually good enough. And we never had an issue not understanding our own diagrams when we came back to them later.

Excalidraw PWNS Miro

Excalidraw is far way better.
Tried a few times but I couldn't use Miro. They should try better to compete with you.

Excalidraw is my favorite "coding whiteboard." Miro will never replace it. I love excalidraw! #excalidraw

Excalidraw is an open source alternative to Miro. Excalidraw is bootstrapped and revenue-funded, Miro is VC-funded (476M raised).

Excalidraw is my go-to tool for drawing anything these days! The uninitiated always wonder “how are you able to draw like that?”, then I introduce them to the tool

Amazing product (as is Miro)

Miro feels bloated and overly complicated to me. In my experience, devs prefer Excalidraw, while PMs/Scrum Masters prefer Miro.

not that rare if you think that will land in a search engine AD when searching for Excalidraw and prospects finding about Miro. Excalidraw on the big leagues now.
